Food entrepreneur and mother of three Bianca Monley has unveiled a new venture that delivers ‘fresh from the farm’ food products to homes across Australia. The venture, Lifely, offers premium chef-prepared meals and promises convenience without compromise and a strong commitment to sustainable living.
Monley sees Lifely as the evolution of her passion for regenerative farming processes and educating children on where their food comes from, continuing from the push she started with her first business Eat Fit Food that she founded at the age of just 22.
Lifely sources the majority of fresh produce from its own farms on the outskirts of Sydney and the Southern Highlands. It has also partnered with local suppliers who share their dedication to respecting the environment and the humane treatment of animals.
“During COVID we saw a huge spike in demand for something more than your standard takeaway or recipe kits,” Monley said. “People want premium quality food to be enjoyed at home. But there hasn’t really been a truly sustainable option for ready-made fresh meals, until Lifely.”
Customers can choose from the weekly rotational Feast Menu, which includes the 12-hour Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder, mash and steamed greens, cured King Ora Salmon with yoghurt tartare and crispy potatoes or Fresh Market Fish and Prawn Pie.
The Feast Menu works for two to six people, with options to cater for larger groups. The meals are all prepared by chefs from fine dining backgrounds and come delivered in sustainable packaging. Unlike many other kits on the market that come with multiple preparation steps, most of Lifely’s meals are designed to simply heat and serve.
Another offering is the Reset Menu which offers nutritionally balanced meals for one, with the option to select meals individually or subscribe to a pack that covers everything between breakfast and dinner.
Recent data released by Ibis World shows a 3.3 per cent per year rise in the ready meals category over the past decade, with young professionals and their families leading the way in the market’s search for healthier takeaway alternatives as they lead busy lives.
“We’re taking the fuss out of mealtime for busy Australians who value being nourished with wholesome ingredients,” Monley said. “This is just the start for Lifely and we are looking to open up a farm school soon, to educate the next generation on sustainable farming processes.”
Lifely is currently available to customers in Sydney and the Southern Highlands, and plans to scale rapidly and expand into other home and lifestyle categories.
