Luis Guzmán is the co-owner of Lima, Nikkei restaurant Sydney and Warike. Hailing from Lima, Peru, Guzmán moved to Australia, working as a cleaner and labourer while improving his English. He then spent years working his way up the ladder to management at TimeZone before the pandemic hit and a prolonged period at home revived his passion for cooking and sharing creations online. Requests to try his food were coming in fast from friends and family, growing into a series of hosted dinners and eventually a pop-up restaurant. The Pop-up's success led to him bootstrapping his first restaurant Warike, which along with newer sister restaurant Lima, co-owned by Luis, are bringing authentic Peruvian cuisine to Sydney's masses.
