Pet wellness brand Leadr debuts all-natural pet supplement range

Pet wellness start-up Leadr has launched an all-natural pet supplement range that aims to offer science-backed products made with wholefood ingredients.

The range comprises five supplements for cats and dogs that address key health concerns such as stress and anxiety, limber joints, gut health, and probiotic health. It also comes in recyclable and refillable packaging as part of the brand’s efforts to improve sustainability.

Founder Asha Dillon (pictured), a former product developer for leading pet health and vitamin brands, said she knows people love pets like family and wanted to dedicate her decade of expertise to pet health.

“Not all pet supplements are created the same,” Dillon said. “After years in the product development industry, I’ve seen vitamins with everything from filler ingredients and cheap actives to nasty additives used as binders, and that’s just in human supplements.”

Recent surveys have revealed that Australians spend $2.98 billion yearly on pet healthcare products.

To set itself apart from conventional pet supplements, the company formulated its products using wholefood ingredients and therapeutic doses of nutrients and herbs, providing pets with the “best possible care without compromising their wellbeing”.

“I wanted to create a functional product for Australian families and their pets that contained wholefood ingredients, alongside science-backed therapeutic doses of clinically-trialled nutrients and herbs,” Dillon added.

Since its launch, Leadr has garnered strong support from the Australian pet-owning community, with 8000 chews sold nationwide. The company said it has “big plans” over the next five years, including a potential entry into the US and Asia.
