A host of small businesses have taken out major gongs at the Telsta Best of Business Awards, and annual initiative that celebrating the small- and medium-sized businesses and people building Australia’s economic, social and cultural prosperity.
Among the small businesses with between one and 20 employees honoured at the awards are Empowered Women in Trades (who’s founder, Hacia Atherton, is pictured) – a social enterprise that is helping champion tradeswomen, diversity, and gender equality. By collaborating with educational institutions and industry leaders the organisation strives to help empower women and non-binary individuals to pursue and excel in careers across the trade sector.
Another winner is iBuild Buidling Solutions, who design and and construct affordable prefabricated structures, including kit homes, granny flats and modular buildings, and who’s founder – Jackson Yin – was an ISB 2022 Top 50 Small Business Leader.
