John Delaney is the managing director of MessageXchange overseeing strategy, operations, and innovation. He is laser-focused on keeping on top of industry trends to ensure that MessageXchange continues to push the boundaries when it comes to its technology and research and development (R&D), to ensure it is giving customers cutting-edge technology to address their needs and help them grow. John co-founded eVision in 1996 with Michael Ross. eVision pioneered cloud computing for business-to-business (B2B) integration with MessageXchange, and B2B networking and collaboration with Colladium. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the IT industry and combines a strong technology and R&D background with many years of successful business management. During the formative years of his career, John’s experience included working as an electrical engineer in the power industry and as a software engineer introducing computer-based distributed control systems in the process control industry. From there, he moved into R&D, working on projects for CSIRO and DSTO, which involved the application of expert systems.
