Study reveals 13.5 million Australians use food-delivery apps and websites

New data reveals that more than 13.5 million people used a fast food delivery app or website in Australia in February this year.

The biggest growth was recorded in the 14-24 years age group – up nine per cent – with almost 1.4 million males and 1.3 million women shopping.

The findings come from market research company Ipsos which gathered data from about 21 million Australians aged 14 years and over with access to a wide variety of digital content and services.

According to online audience size, Ipsos’ top 10 brands are McDonald’s, UberEats, KFC, Domino’s, Hungry Jacks, DoorDash, Menulog, Hello Fresh, Pizza Hut and Grill’d.

Likewise, Australian mothers were the “biggest users” of fast food and food-delivery apps and websites at four million which is an increase of three per cent when compared to January.
